Meet Brett Henderson

I am a passionate artist based in Yandina on the Sunshine Coast. My journey, as an artist, began after my diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis in 2022, which led me to explore painting as a means of emotional expression.

I have developed a dominant style where I use objects to create depth and physical touch to my paintings. Bright colours are my palate preference, they provide a happy, unique artwork, that would look amazing on any wall.

Mining for Marbles

In this painting I tried to capture the mental health struggles that exist in the community.

We all have some type of toolbox to manage our own mental health.

I placed random items from my toolbox and stuck them to the canvass. Adding the bold balls of colour is an expression of finding your marbles or coping mechanisms to embrace everyday life.
